What Classifies as a Micro Penis?

Male Enhancement Add comments

According to the medical literature of our time, a micropenis is an unusually small penis, featuring a stretched flaccid length of less than 2 centimeters for a newborn male child and less than 4 centimeters for an adult. However, this definition is somewhat arbitrary and others have been proposed and used by different doctors. The condition is diagnosed shortly after birth, just as the rest of the perineum, scrotum and penis are fully formed and there could be no doubt about size. The rate of occurrence is 0.6% of the male population.

The causes of this condition are commonly thought to be a low production of prenatal androgen. The male fetus does not receive the normal amount of androgen and so the penis does not reach the average size. Other potential causes are a deficiency in the fetus’ ability to synthesize the hormones testosterone and dihydrotestosterone or congenital growth hormone deficiency or inadequate stimulation of the pituitary gland. But regardless of the cause, this condition has a powerful impact on a man’s self esteem and self-image. While a man suffering from micropenis can still have children, intercourse is very difficult. Even the traditional male habit of urinating from the standing position is difficult for a man with a micropenis.

However, there are ways to treat micropenis. One of the best approaches is to treat it during infancy by supplementing the body’s own production of hormones. A number of surgical techniques aimed at enlarging the penis have been devised, but are rarely performed in such cases since the results are not considered to be good enough. A better way of dealing with this condition is to use a traction device in order to enlarge the penis in a natural way, instead of resorting to the artificial solution of surgery.

A word of warning for men suffering from micropenis: don’t try to solve this problem on your own. Before you try anything, see a doctor, preferably an Urologist, and discuss the situation. You should always try to assess your alternatives before taking any action, especially if you’re planning to do something from which there’s no turning back. If you’re not sure that you really have a micropenis, then go to a GP and he or she will either tell you that you are have a normal penis or refer you to a specialist for further assessment.

On the other hand, if you don’t suffer from the condition, but simply have a small penis and want to enlarge it in a natural way, you can always try penis enlargement exercises. The PenisHealth™ program is designed let men increase penis size in the privacy of their own homes and without any hazardous pills or pumps. Exercises are probably one of the safest and healthiest ways to increase the length and girth of the penis in both the flaccid and erect states.

Acne scars – a review

Acne scars are the marks left behind by lesions that had not healed or had become inflamed. Their size, frequency and type depend on various genetic factors, which are particular to every person. Some persons are more likely to see scars forming on their skin, due to their heritage and skin colour. This is why many people want to make sure their lesions will heal properly.

There are only two types of acne scars. The simplest scar is nothing more than a spot of skin bearing a brown, pink or purple colour, testimony to the fact that… Continue reading

How hormones affect zits and skin

Implicated in a wide range of conditions and illnesses, hormones also play a role in the development of acne - inflammation of the skin that causes blackheads, whiteheads, and red spots usually called “pimples” or “zits.” Androgens, hormones that are secreted in different amounts by both men and women, play a huge role in most cases of acne. Androgens stimulate the hormone-sensitive sebaceous glands, which produce oil known as sebum. Sebum, in turn, has been labeled as “the fuel that feeds the flame of acne.”
